About Karen

"My experience includes supporting people with complex needs in both the USA and Australia. Experience includes: A senior therapist Mid North Coast LHD - prior clinician at Mid North Coast Brain Injury and Rural Spinal Cord Injury Service, current OT Port Macquarie Base Hospital (weekend), Clinical educator at Charles Stuart University (casual), quality auditing and disability consulting, NDIS service provision.

As an icare approved case manager and OT, I provide person centred services, for youth and adults with complex needs, including neurological needs, (traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries) and amputations.

Case management services include My Plan - preparation, development and implementation; and assessments including Functional Independence Measures (FIM), American Spinal Injury Association (ASIA) Scale, World Health Organisation questionnaire (WHOQoL-Bref), Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE), Work options plans and workplace assessments, Activity of Daily Living Assessments (ADLs), Care Needs Reviews, Care Needs Reports, Attendant Care Services Requests, Care and Needs Scales (CANS), Service, equipment, travel and accommodation requests.
