About Jo-Anne

"I have over 30 years’ experience as an Occupational Therapist with national accreditation. I have worked across numerous schemes both compensable and non-compensable with a considerable number of complex cases involving significant injuries.

I also have nine years’ experience as a Senior Occupational Therapist (Neurological/Orthopaedic/Spinal) at Royal Rehabilitation Centre Sydney. This involved a combination of therapy provision, managing a caseload of community rehabilitation clients, goal setting, education, community reintegration, equipment prescription, minor housing modifications, falls prevention, rehabilitation, proving supervision, allocation of referrals and liaison with a range of professionals within and external to the Royal Rehabilitation Centre.

I love a challenge and strive to achieve great outcomes.

As an Occupational Therapist with previous experience in neurological, orthopaedic, and spinal cord injuries I have developed a keen interest in working with significant injuries within the community and using my clinical skills to assist clients to achieve increased engagement in their daily roles, which has been very rewarding. This has provided exposure to a wide range of equipment, techniques, and environmental modifications that I can access to assist clients to achieve their needs.

Given my time at Royal Rehab Centre, I am aware of the other areas and additional expertise that is available for neurological, orthopaedic and spinal cord injuries. If this assistance falls outside my area of expertise, I can advise the client and then facilitate other health professionals, doctors, or medical specialists to provide and monitor the suitable intervention.

I am a motivated and reliable therapist who is an excellent communicator and has a genuine passion for supporting my clients to achieve their goals. I am happy to have a chat at any stage about how I may be able to support you, or your clients achieve the changes and goals that they desire."
