About Francesca

"Since 2009, I have worked with vulnerable populations in a diverse range of challenging government and non-government settings assisting individuals to achieve their full potential in work, family, and social relationships. My academic qualifications include the degrees of Masters in Social Work (Advanced Practice), Bachelor of Social Work, Bachelor of Arts (with a major in Psychology), and Advanced Diploma in Communication. I hold Comcare accreditation, working with vulnerable populations card and have been working within the occupational rehabilitation sector since 2018.

During the first nine years of my professional career, I worked within a correctional facility providing rehabilitation services to a variety of caseload cohorts ranging from first to persistent offenders, male and female of varying ages, cohorts with specific needs, and those assessed as high risk. Risk was determined predominantly in relation to behavioural misconduct, serious health or mental health issues, risk of harm to self or risk of harm to others. During this time, my role included conducting a variety of psycho-social and therapeutic assessments to identify appropriate treatment pathways, the delivery of therapeutic programs, intensive counselling, and complex case coordination as well as reintegration and transition to community. I developed a thorough understanding of managing individuals with dual diagnosis, trauma, sexual abuse, childhood neglect, substance abuse, homelessness, and mental health issues.

I employ a strength based holistic approach to assist clients to identify their desired outcomes by harnessing their strengths and empowering them to move forward with their rehabilitation. I have extensive experience conducting a variety of assessments, assisting with managing alcohol and drug conditions, providing grief and loss interventions and conflict resolution. I am well versed in motivational interviewing and am highly experienced in the management of sensitive information and complex case coordination."
