About Fiona

"As an occupational therapist, I have worked with children and young people, and their families, a in a variety of hospital and community settings, since 1999. After working with a wide range of clinical populations, from mental health to complex physical disability, I have developed a strong interest in paediatric traumatic brain injury.

As senior OT for Brain Injury Rehabilitation Program at Sydney Children’s hospital (2008-2014), I understand the enormity and complexity of what participants and their families can face, as they transition back to life post-injury. The importance of fostering a strong team around participants and their families, with participants and their families at the centre, is not lost on me, as I typically played a central role in the planning and facilitation of discharge from hospital.

The combination of my extensive experience working with various government and non-government agencies, and a love of creative problem-solving, allows me to support participants and their families to access high quality and cohesive supports to recognise and achieve their potential.

I enjoy the challenge that comes with uniqueness of each participant, dependent upon their age, life stage, pre and post injury function, social situation and so many more factors!"
