About Bianca

"I have experience working in acquired brain injury, geriatrics, general neuro rehabilitation and spinal cord injury. I have been working as a brain injury case manager since 2012, first gaining experience within the Brain Injury Rehab service working across inpatient and community. This gives me a unique perspective and understanding of the challenges of transition between inpatient rehabilitation and into community and the value of working closely with a multidisciplinary team.

I love working with participants and their support networks to identify their goals and how to overcome the challenges ahead of them. I acknowledge that individuals are more than their injury and aim to embrace this. I believe in a strengths and values based approach to rehabilitation with the participant front and center as well as recognizing the importance of strong support network foundations. I enjoy working within the Lifeworks Ryde multidisciplinary team giving me access to suite of therapists to consult with as needed.

Brain injury case management is my primary specialty however I have extensive experience working with individuals with co-morbidities, particularly mental health, trauma and amputation. I work with adults of all ages and have a particular interest in working with young people transitioning into adulthood."
