Throughout my career I’ve gained substantial experience working with clients with primary or secondary trauma / trauma-related conditions or barriers in order to achieve successful, safe and meaningful outcomes in a trauma-informed manner: Supporting people with severe injuries including ABI; spinal; and amputations to manage their treatment, rehabilitation and care needs, assisting them to achieve maximum independence, self-efficacy and quality of life.

This may include individuals who also present with substantial social disadvantage including homelessness; domestic violence; poverty; substance abuse; social isolation; incarceration etc.

Awarded the 2021 Allied Health Award - Rehabilitation Counsellor of the Year, I have a keen interest and experience in managing complex injuries and work strategically with long-term cases and participants and their families that need a fresh approach to achieve their goals.

Since 2003 I have worked within workplace rehabilitation and the disability employment sector developing rehabilitation programs for participants including veterans, and emergency services personnel across work-related and non-work related conditions. I have a strong interest in working with people experiencing Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

I am a professional career development practitioner with a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Counselling and advanced expertise in vocational redirection and new role transition having delivered vocational assessments, vocational and return to work focused counselling, job matching and transferable skills assessments.
