Equipment Panel

The Equipment Panel supplies and services disability and healthcare equipment, otherwise known as assistive technology (AT), for people in Lifetime Care and the Workers Care Program.

The panel, made up of Aidacare, ALTER, Alpha Lifecare and Independent Living Specialists (ILS), are the key suppliers of aids for daily living, mobility and access, transfer aids, electric adjustable beds, medical grade mattresses, wheelchairs and seating.

Equipment for hire or purchase is to be sourced exclusively from the panel, unless there is a need for a product not supplied by the panel.

Only Aidacare, ALTER and ILS are available to complete equipment repairs or maintenance.

The panel can provide 2 types of maintenance:

  • Preventative maintenance: new and existing equipment will have a regular maintenance schedule. Preventative maintenance will be completed annually or as recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Corrective maintenance: up to two services per item of equipment per year will be pre-approved so that people in Lifetime Care and the Workers Care Program can contact providers directly when their equipment requires a repair.
