"I am an experienced workplace rehabilitation counsellor with a demonstrated history of working across the public health care and private sector. As a rehabilitation counsellor I am focused on helping injured or ill people achieve their personal, career and independent living goals. Since 2005 I have gained specific expertise in the following areas:

• Undertake comprehensive assessment of vocational, social, medical, personal and psychological needs in order to develop an individual vocational rehabilitation plan for people who have sustained a significant injury or trauma.
• Plan, develop, implement and monitor individual client vocational rehabilitation and transitional programs, making sure that appropriate services are provided within these plans.
• Adopting a holistic approach to a person’s well being and recovery by applying the biopsychosocial model. As an extension of this I always apply a trauma informed and recovery oriented approach to maximise a person’s recovery and ensure they are treated with dignity and respect during each step of their rehabilitation.
• Provide workplace dispute resolution services as an early intervention strategy for participants that addresses issues between them before matters escalate or deteriorate
• Provide highly effective communication with insurance companies, medical practitioners and other service providers to ensure a comprehensive rehabilitation program is developed and a successful outcome is achieved.
• Work closely with employers to effectively manage their workforce. This includes the identification of appropriate strategies and coaching managers regarding intervention to ensure successful outcomes."
