Insurance and Care NSW (icare) recently partnered with ADSSI Limited (ADSSI) to improve its safety systems and reduce incidents and injuries in the workplace. ADSSI is a not-for-profit home and community care business operating in Northern Sydney, the Central Coast and Hunter regions of NSW.

ADSSI participated in icare's Protect Together (P2) Program which included workplace site visits, a workplace health and safety (WHS) management system assessment, interviews with staff and a review of the safety culture.

ADSSI experienced great results from the program, including:

  • 44% reduction in workers compensation claims
  • 99% of workers now feel they have the resources to do their job safely
  • Over 95% of workers are now confident that safety changes are communicated effectively.

In the below video you can learn about ADSSI's experience with P2 and hear from their Team Leader, Robyn Johnston who said, "We've seen our injuries to workers decrease through the initiatives we have put in place. Keeping the team safe is my number one priority, and to know they’ve been armed with the tools they need really makes me pleased."
