Professor Emeritus Malcolm Sim AM

Malcolm is an Occupational and Environmental Physician and Public Health Physician who has longstanding research and clinical interests in dust diseases from workplace and environmental exposures.

After a 32-year career in the School of Public Health & Preventive Medicine at Monash University, Malcolm was appointed as a Professor Emeritus in the School following his retirement in 2019. He was the Head of the Monash Centre for Occupational and Environmental Health in the School.

Malcolm is a member of the OHS Advisory Committee for Worksafe Victoria and a past President of the Australasian Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine in the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.

He was also a Board Member of the International Commission on Occupational Health and the previous Editor-in-Chief for Occupational and Environmental Medicine, a speciality journal of the British Medical Journal.
