icare extends current arrangements with third-party service providers
icare will extend its current contractual arrangements with four third-party service provider categories until the end of 2022.
Deeds with workplace rehabilitation, medico-legal and investigation providers to deliver services to icare Workers Insurance will be extended to December 2022. The deed with hearing device suppliers will be extended until November 2022.
It is anticipated that procurement activities will be undertaken during this time and a period of stakeholder engagement is being undertaken to determine the approach to balance the expectations of employers, injured workers and the scheme in relation to service provision.
Consultation with stakeholders including employers, claims service providers, deed-holding providers and their wider industries will be a key element of this review and will support the development of icare's category strategy and subsequent procurement strategy.
