HBCF continues partnership with Equifax Australia

icare Home Building Compensation Fund (HBCF) is pleased to announce that from 1 December 2022 our partnership with Equifax Australia will continue for a further two years.

Equifax Australia provides HBCF with Risk Management, Technology, Data and Analytics, and Commercial Bureau Services. They are also an integral contributor to the Automated Builder Scorecard Review (ASR), which is at the heart of HBCF’s streamlined eligibility process released earlier this year.

“We’re excited to be continuing our work with Equifax,” said Tony Wessling, Group Executive, IFNSW & HBCF.

“Together, our goal over the next two years is to make things simpler for our brokers and builders, in particular by further refining the streamlined ASR process as well as improving the speed of our underwriting services.

“Our ongoing partnership with Equifax provides a foundation to build further efficiencies, increasing automation opportunities and improving processes, which will lead to better customer outcomes,” he added.

Securing this partnership for a further two years is another key milestone in HBCF’s improvement program and marks the end of a busy 2022 in which the team has listened to customers and acted on the recommendations of the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART) and icare’s Customer Advocate to make things simpler for brokers and builders.
