Statement on Elderton Homes

Building company Elderton Homes has gone into administration.

A number of homeowners will be impacted by this action across NSW. HBCF stands ready to support policyholders with work underway with Elderton Homes, who suffer a loss as a result of this action. icare HBCF is currently proactively reaching out to more than 100 homeowners with active Elderton projects currently under construction and who are insured under our Home Building Compensation Fund to offer assistance.

Are you impacted?

If you are a homeowner insured under HBCF, have work underway by Elderton and suffer losses as a result of Elderton going into administration, you may be able to recoup some of your losses.

What is HBCF and how can we help you?

The Home Building Compensation Fund (HBCF) provides a safety net for homeowners in NSW faced with incomplete and defective building work carried out by a builder or tradesperson. A Certificate of Insurance issued by us compensates homeowners for losses arising from defective and incomplete work, including instances where the builder has become insolvent.
