About Sahra

"....Sahra has been an Occupational Therapist since 2008 and has extensive experience in the area of community neurological rehabilitation. Over her career, she has worked across a variety of settings including acute and sub-acute services, inpatient rehabilitation units, community rehabilitation and private practice. Furthermore, she has worked with a range of different conditions including traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, orthopaedic injuries and various medical conditions.  

Areas of clinical expertise include: activities of daily living assessments & retraining; upper Limb assessments & retraining; cognitive assessments and retraining;  driving assessments and rehabilitation; basic Home Modifications; fatigue management and energy conservation education; carer training and education   

Sahra developed her case management skills whilst working as the Occupational Therapist in a community rehabilitation setting. Her role involved working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide coordinated care for her clients, advocating for her clients in conjunction with their goals and identifying whether any additional supports are required in the future so that they’re able to remain living in the community independently. Sahra is a passionate Occupational Therapist and values all aspects of her role.  One of the most rewarding parts of being an Occupational Therapist is being able to help a person to reintegrate back into daily life after overcoming disability or to live an enriched life with their disability.
