"I have been working as an occupational therapist since 1984, providing rehabilitation case management, occupational therapy intervention and program development support to funding organisations. I have worked in hospitals, rehabilitation and community-based services, so I understand that a person and their family’s needs and priorities will change over time."
I specialise in working with people who have sustained severe injuries such as traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury and amputations, supporting them to achieve the things that are most important to them – be that settling back into life at home, regaining independence or learning new skills, and regaining participation in the things that are important to the person such as relationships, work and leisure activities. My experience also includes working effectively with care providers and other allied health service providers and community agencies, to ensure the person who has sustained severe injuries receives the right level of support, and that the right services are delivered at the right time."
"I enjoy supporting people who live in rural communities, and am able to provide comprehensive case management and occupational therapy services to people living in the Northern NSW region including towns and rural properties in the Armidale, Glen Innes, Inverell, Moree, Narrabri, Uralla, Walcha and Tenterfield areas."
