About Kate

"I have worked as an occupational therapist since 1989 and as a case manager in the Lifetime Care Scheme since 2008 managing people with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, vision impairments and burns. I have experience working with people with a range of vision impairments and neurological disorders having worked with adults and children in schools and in their homes as an occupational therapist. I have worked in school systems as an educator and I also have a Bachelor in Primary Education. 

Such catastrophic injuries not only impact a person physically but also psychologically and I like to work with participants holistically to help them achieve their goals and have good outcomes.

I like to travel to regional areas and work with participants all over NSW. I have experience working with a range of age groups and I am not afraid to work with interpreters and non-English speaking participants.

I have lived and worked in South America as an occupational therapist, so speak Spanish and enjoy working with participants whose first language is Spanish.

I am passionate about assisting people after severe injuries achieve their goals and return to living their lives."
