About Alison

Alison has been a qualified occupational therapist since 2002, and has extensive experience working in hospitals and community-based rehabilitation. Alison works with clients of varying ages, from adolescents and young adults to aged care clients, their families and social supports. Alison has experience providing services to various clinical caseloads including people with physical and intellectual disabilities, spinal cord injuries, and neurological conditions. 

As a case manager, Alison takes a collaborative approach to working with stakeholders and varying professionals to achieve client goals, support adjustment to and understanding of disability, medical management and funding guidelines, whilst advocating for a clients' best interests. 

In addition to case management skills, Alison has extensive experience assessing care and therapy needs, and in providing interventions including environmental and vehicle modifications, complex equipment prescription, occupational therapy driver assessments and rehabilitation, along with general occupational therapy services. 

Alison is a member of Occupational Therapy Australia and maintains a current registration through the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (AHPRA). 

Alison is currently employed in an organisation with other qualified case managers who have the collective experience and availability to ensure that clients' needs are met.
