icare appoints Stuart Farquharson as new Chief Financial Officer
Insurance and Care NSW (icare) is pleased to announce the appointment of Stuart Farquharson to the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) leading the Organisational Performance team.
Stuart joins icare from the Australian and New Zealand general insurance arm of global insurer Zurich where he has been CFO of the General Insurance business since July 2016. Prior to Zurich, Stuart was the CFO for AIG Australia and also had regional finance responsibility for the Asia-Pacific region consisting of Australia, New Zealand, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, and Papua New Guinea (PNG).
icare CEO Richard Harding said Stuart will bring to icare a unique blend of experience of finance and commercial leadership across the general, life and health insurance sectors.
"He is an experienced CFO with a demonstrated track record of building successful teams, managing transformation, and driving positive commercial outcomes. We are really pleased Stuart is joining the team," Mr Harding said.
"In his new role at icare, Stuart's immediate priorities will be to review and embed the strategy within Organisational Performance and provide strategic financial direction."
Stuart will commence with icare on 11 October 2022. Shailendra Singh will continue in the role of Acting CFO until then.
