About Louise

"I provide case management services to support clients in the community, primarily those who have experienced a catastrophic brain injury following an injury or accident, to meet their life goals and assist them in their recovery journey. The case manager role is key in ensuring that interventions are provided in an effective and timely way, are adaptable and responsive to the client’s changing or emerging needs.

A goal based framework is utilized to direct treatment programs and interventions, coordinating services provided from a range of providers. These include occupational therapists, speech pathologists, clinical psychologists, physiotherapists and exercise physiologists, dieticians, orthoptists and vocational providers; medical specialists including rehabilitation specialists, neuropsychiatrists and neurologists; care agencies and support workers; equipment providers and other community agencies.

With my dual practice as a specialist occupational therapist also working with clients following traumatic or acquired brain injury, I am able to be receptive to the client’s functional needs. The case manager provides a pivotal role in referring to required providers, delivering clinical reports, submitting requests for funding and services, and enabling open channels of communication between the client, family, treating and care teams as well with insurers and community agencies, so that cohesive, collaborative and client centered programs are delivered.

I work with both public and private sectors, and insurer agencies including icare (Lifetime Care and Support Authority and Workers Care), NDIS and private insurers."
