About Jen

"Jen is an experienced senior occupational therapist and has specialised in adolescent and adult spinal cord injury (SCI) since 1997. Jen founded Total Access, in 2007 and has been working as a treating occupational therapist with icare since its inception in that same year. Jen also works part-time as a senior occupational therapist at a public hospital, in the spinal rehab team and seating and multi-disciplinary clinics.

Jen has extensive experience working in all stages of SCI i.e. acute, rehab, outpatients and chronic injuries, including the aging SCI population.

Jen currently works in both the public and private sector specialising in complex seating, home modifications, equipment, assessment and retraining of activities of daily living, care needs, manual handling, sexuality and fertility, upper limb retraining and splinting, pressure care treatment and management and multi-disciplinary case management.

In addition to Jen's professional experience, she has lived experience of spinal cord injury. Jen's husband has paraplegia, which provides her with greater insight into 'living with spinal cord injury'. This knowledge further helps Jen achieve her objective, which is:

"To enhance independence and quality of life for people with a spinal cord injury, through support, education, treatment and collaboration with the client, their family, and multiple service providers."
