About Freda

"I have practiced as an occupational therapist on a full-time basis since 2011 and worked for the Altius Group since 2018.

At the Altius Group, we connect with our clients to provide personalised solutions across workplace health, wellbeing, employment, risk and claims support services to enhance out clients’ physical, mental and social health.

In my career to date, I have worked with a variety of people of different backgrounds and with a variety of conditions, including musculoskeletal injuries, chronic pain, strokes, burns, amputations, cerebral palsy and spinal injuries. I also have some experience with mental health and intellectual conditions. I have experience completing assessments and interventions to improve my client’s ability to perform their everyday activities, including self-care, household tasks, getting out into their communities, engaging with their friends, as well as to return to safe work.

I focus on helping clients become more independent by looking at how we can change their environment to best suit their needs, or how providing treatment, aides and services can help them reach their goals. My most recent work has been as a rehabilitation consultant and NDIS service provider, which has improved my case management skills, as well as my knowledge about services and equipment available to people with various needs.

I strive to enable clients to independently manage their treatment and guide the process as much as possible. I am passionate about overcoming obstacles to maximise function and allow clients to live a meaningful and productive life.

I am comfortable connecting with clients’ families, care givers, medical teams and friends to ensures a whole-person approach to benefit my clients’ overall health and wellbeing. I like working closely with clients to increase their ability to perform tasks they enjoy and which adds value to their lives, improve their overall independence and involvement with their community."
