About Intensive Care at Home

INTENSIVE CARE AT HOME is specialised on providing a genuine alternative to a long-term stay in ICU/PICU at home for mechanically ventilated adults and children with tracheostomies. This includes non-invasively ventilated adults and children on BIPAP/CPAP as well as otherwise medically complex clients in need of ICU/PICU nurses at home. This includes the provision of home TPN (IV nutrition) and central line, PICC line and Hickman's line management.

The focus for our clients is to improve their quality of life and/or Quality of end of life.

INTENSIVE CARE AT HOME engages with and invites our clients to work with and select the staff working with them whenever possible to get the best possible care for them.

INTENSIVE CARE AT HOME exclusively works with ICU/PICU nurses with a minimum of two years ICU/PICU experience and we employ hundreds of years of ICU/PICU experience in the community enabling us to provide high quality nursing care at home instead of in ICU/PICU.

Service provision specialist includes:

  • All forms of invasive tracheostomy ventilation at home
  • All forms of non invasive(BIPAP/CPAP) ventilation at home 
  • Tracheostomy care 
  • 24 hour monitoring
  • 24 hour Critical care nursing at home
  • PEG and nasogastric feeding(all forms of enteral feeds)
  • Home TPN
  • Home infusions for IV fluids and IV antibiotics
  • Central line, PICC line and Hickman's line care 
  • Palliative care    
  • Psychosocial care
