Introducing manufacturing industry hub

A place where manufacturing employers will find the resources they need to help manage workers compensation insurance — anytime, anywhere.

icare employer customers are set to enjoy a whole new level of support with the launch of our online industry hubs (ihubs).

There are four ihubs strategically designed to support icare’s employer customers that operate in one of four high-risk industries (by number of claims):

  • manufacturing
  • construction
  • health and community services
  • transport and storage.

The ihubs are built with our employers in mind and they offer a range of bespoke tools and resources to help employers easily manage their workers compensation insurance anytime, anywhere. Everyone in those industries will benefit — from employers who make frequent claims to those who don’t have in-house capability of injury prevention. The ihubs offer something for everyone.

The Manufacturing ihub is launching first, which had a successful pilot with 84 per cent of employers saying they found it very useful. Speaking ahead of the launch, Group Executive Prevention and Underwriting, Andrew Ziolkowski, said “We’re looking to push further and deliver more relevant services as we gain a more sophisticated understanding of our market segments”.

The ihubs will be launched in two stages, starting off with the inaugural Manufacturing ihub this week, followed by Construction, Transport and Health in early 2020.

Feedback from employers on the Manufacturing ihub will inform improvements to the other ihubs prior to their launch.
