Insurance and Care NSW (icare) has reappointed Allianz, EML, QBE; and appointed GIO to provide claims management services for the NSW Treasury Managed Fund (TMF) Workers Compensation portfolio. These appointments are subject to contract execution.
The announcement follows a six-month competitive RFP process, with the current contracts for TMF claims management expiring at the end of 2019.
The new contracts which commence 1 January 2020 for Allianz, EML and QBE, will include new performance measures. GIO will commence following the implementation of the icare technology platform.
Through these appointments icare has strengthened the alignment between return to work outcomes and remuneration to ensure it’s delivering a fairer and more consistent service and a sustainable scheme for injured workers and NSW government agencies
