icare CEO Vivek Bhatia today announced applications are open for icare’s TMF (Treasury Managed Fund) Awards, which recognise industry leadership in workplace risk management within the NSW public sector.
Sponsored by icare’s Self Insurance arm (NSW Self Insurance Corporation), the awards provide an opportunity for NSW government agencies to demonstrate and improve how they manage workplace risks.
“It’s our mission to ensure that agencies are recognised for their achievements in reducing workplace injuries and helping people return to work sooner,” Mr Bhatia said.
“These awards celebrate how agencies are shaping and improving their capability in managing workplace safety.”

“The awards are an opportunity for TMF agencies to shine, showcase and learn from the industry’s best agencies through knowledge sharing and collaboration,” Mr Bhatia said.
“Last year’s People’s Choice Award winner, the NSW Department of Education, built an industry-first standard for managing anaphylaxis in state schools - a landmark achievement which all agencies can aspire to.
“Nine other TMF agencies who also won awards were equally exemplars of workplace safety and injury management, ensuring that people can return to work sooner in a welcoming environment”,” he said.
Entries for the TMF Awards close on 10 June 2016.
