Ben is employed as a Legal/Industrial Officer for the Construction, Forestry, Maritime, Mining and Energy Union.

He has worked for over 30 years as a solicitor, initially working as a personal injury lawyer in private practice including dust diseases.

He has held a range of legal, management and leadership roles with several state-based unions.

Now, focusing principally on industrial law, he has a particular interest in employee representation in work health and safety and the impact of competition on safety standards.
