About Pippa

"I graduated from university in 1995 with a Bsc (Hons) Occupational Therapy. I also have a post graduate certificate in management within the health and social care sector.

I have a Masters in Clinical leadership, and have completed neuro linguistic training to master practitioner level to become a life coach, to add to my skills in occupational therapy, and I use these skills to enhance my therapy sessions alongside motivational interviewing techniques.

I have worked as an occupational therapist since 1995, 16 years in the UK working in various roles within public health and the charitable sector both as a clinician and a manager, but always providing community based rehabilitation services to clients with complex needs and then emigrated to Australia in 2011.  I have always enjoyed working with complex client groups including palliative care, neurological conditions, traumatic brain injury, spinal injuries and amputees.

I am an icare approved case manager and icare care needs assessor as well as an accredited Functional Independence Measure (FIM) assessor.  I work in a person-centred framework, sitting side by side with the client and supporting them to develop their goals. My focus in providing therapy and rehabilitation is ‘is to help people help themselves’.
