About Julie

"I have worked as a case manager for Access Brain Injury Services since 2004. I work with clients with lifelong support needs as a result of traumatic brain injury, acquired brain injury (stroke, cerebral palsy), spinal cord injury and alcohol-related brain injury. These clients are funded through CTP, workers compensation or medical negligence compensation funds managed by both private or public trustees.

Previous to my current employment, I trained as an enrolled nurse and worked at Concord Hospital Head and Neck Trauma unit where I gained experience in management of acute injury. Subsequently I have worked as a community nurse, the coordinator of Westlink Head Injury Recreation & Leisure Services and co-coordinator of care programs for clients with high needs at Rainbow Home & Support Services.

I have 30 years' experience in the disability sector. In this time I have had the opportunity to develop skills in working in a multi-disciplinary teams to ensure effective rehabilitation and support programs and working with clients and their families to achieve their goals in the community setting. I have experience in frontline management of services as well as direct service provider of case management and attendant care services."
