About Jessica Worton

I have worked as an occupational therapist since 2003 in hospital and community settings, specialising in neurological injuries. I am experienced in working with people following major injuries such as traumatic brain injury, neurological impairments, orthopaedic injury, amputations and spinal cord injury. I have worked in the private sector since 2020 in community rehabilitation / occupational therapy and case management, and understand icare requirements and the scheme. As a case manager, I see my role in supporting people throughout their rehabilitation journey to help them access treatment, services and care – maximising their recovery and function. I help my participants set realistic goals and I am proactive in working out plans and strategies to help them achieve outcomes. Communication is vital in rehabilitation programs; I am experienced in coordinating multidisciplinary teams and a collaborative approach, ensuring that everybody is working together to meet the needs of the client. I am open and honest with my interactions, and am committed to putting the client at the centre of the rehabilitation process. I am based in the Sutherland Shire, and can provide case management services to the Illawarra, Sutherland, St George and South West Sydney regions.
