About Elissa

"Elissa has worked as an occupational therapist since graduating in 2005, having developed skills and expertise in the areas of case management, community therapy, orthopaedics, rehabilitation, manual handling and occupational rehabilitation. During this time, Elissa has worked with clients who present with a variety of complex needs and disabilities, including, but not limited to, acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury and amputations.

Elissa is also a Unit Assessor and Lecturer at Southern Cross University (Gold Coast Campus) where she teaches complex equipment prescription, manual handling, and personal care occupations, core subjects which form part of the Bachelor of Occupational Therapy degree.

It is the goal of Total Rehab to provide a professional, person-centered service through collaboration, liaison, coordination and effective communication with all participants, treating parties, funding bodies and family members to ensure injury related treatment, rehabilitation and care goals can be achieved and maintained as efficiently and effectivity as possible.
